This was my sons' and my "hotpot" experience and I'm so pleased with the food, atmosphere and staff. We didn't know what we were doing and the wait staff was so helpful and the food was delicious. There was an amazing variety and we all cleared our plates!

Definitely a solid hot pot place! I think the quality of the meat is good and they have a lot of unique specialty options I haven't seen at many other hot pot places. It's nice that you can choose up to three broths for the same price as one. We got the spicy, pork pepper, and mushroom broths. Medium spice level is definitely spicy, so no need to worry if if won't be spicy at all. The other two broths were good, but nothing too flavorful. They also have a plentiful drink selection for reasonable prices. We got the avocado milk and watermelon milk, which are basically smoothies. We had a very nice waiter, otherwise, the service was pretty standard. They offer aprons upon request, and have seats for people dining alone with individual hot pots. The restaurant has a nice ambiance that's clean and has pandas everywhere. It's located in downtown Seattle, so parking may be hard to find. Overall, quality food with good portion sizes. I would say it's a tad bit pricey, but they have happy hour every day. It's definitely more worth going during happy hour where all hot pot items are 31% off!

Coming to Qiao Lin Hotpot, I had high expectations because my friends raved about it so I kinda thought it would be mind blowing. I also had read some other reviews on yelp and google too so I was excited. Some of the upsides to the meal was that the atmosphere was really cute with stuffed animal pandas around the restaurant. They had a lot of options for meat and especially the high quality cuts were good. Furthermore, I liked that you can choose up to three broths for the same price as one because some don't do that! In my personal opinion though after eating at a lot of hotpot places, the broths were not super flavorful which was a little disappointing. The servers were nice but nothing stood out really. I still think Chengdu Memory is my favorite place for hotpot in Seattle but Qiao Lin is a solid place. It is definitely a bit cheaper than HDL and Dolar shop! So for all of these reasons I would give them about a 3.8/5 overall. I would come back to try again in a few months to see if maybe I just was not in the mood for the food after seeing the decent reviews from other people.
